Parent/Teacher Conferences for grades 3-8 are postponed and rescheduled for Tuesday November 9 from 4:00 PM - 8:00 PM due to staff absences. High School Conferences are being held tonight in the high school. We apologize for any inconvenience and look forward to seeing you November 9th.

3rd-12th grade Parent-Teacher Conference Information.

The district has heard various opinions and understands the challenges of masking as well as the hardship for the families that currently have their students at home in quarantine due to exposure in the classroom. The survey and School Board Meeting are for gathering information on which direction to take due to the current surge of COVID cases and many students unable to attend school. We will continue reviewing and updating our school COVID-19 policies and protocols at the School Board Meetings, just like we did on the 14th. The district appreciates the constructive comments and ideas shared on how we can proceed in the best way possible without disrupting learning and school activities. The district understands that continuing to operate the way we are is an option; however, many have also voiced frustration with having their students sent home and missing opportunities for education and school activities. The district welcomes public input and will discuss various creative solutions and updates to policies and protocols to mitigate the spread of COVID-19. Please note that the district is closely monitoring the trend in cases in the school and county and wants to take action only out of necessity and do what's best for all Townsend School District students.
