5th day schedule for October 13th. Due to the steak fry, the 5th day program will have a change in schedule for pottery and a field trip added. The schedule is as follows: 7:30-8:00 recess/stations (buses arrive @ 7:55) 8:00-9:30 Pottery for 3rd and 4th grade/anyone not at pottery-2 stations available: coding a Lego maze and coding ones name into jewelry using binary coding. Stations until 9:15. 9:15-9:30 recess 9:30-11:00 Pottery for grades 5-12/anyone not at pottery-same 2 stations of coding starting at 9:45. Students will join new station for their second session 11:00-12:00 recess/lunch (popcorn chicken or pbj) 12:00-12:30 background on Montana with a focus on the State Capital and Supreme Court. 12:30 load bus/leave @ 12:45 12:45-1:45 travel to Helena. 1:45-2:45 two groups of students: one attend a tour of the State Capital-one attend a tour of the Supreme Court 2:45-3:45 same groups but switch tours 3:45-4:15 tour grounds such as replica of Liberty Bell 4:15 load bus/leave @ 4:30 4:30-5:30 travel to Townsend 5:15 ish-stop in Winston to drop off bus riding student. Stop at Silos if any students rode the bus in the am. 5:30 ish arrive at school/unload onto playground 5:30-6:00 recess **if any students rode the bus from Toston or Duck Creek, arrangements will be made for busing home after we return. October 9-12 is Homecoming week. The K-5 students can participate by being part of the spirit dress up days, attend the pep assembly and watch the parade. The spirit dress up days are as follows: Monday-Purple Day Tuesday-soccer moms vs bbq dads Wednesday-dynamic duos (or groups) Thursday-blue and white (school colors) All students will attend the pep assembly with the middle and high school on October 12th at 1:00 pm then we will watch the parade starting at 2:00 pm.

Next week is BHS Homecoming Week and WE CAN'T WAIT!! Join in on the fun...GOOO BULLDOGS!! 😃🙌🏻🐾💙

5th day program schedule for October 6, 2023. 7:30 check-in recess/stations 7:55 buses arrive 8:00-9:30 Pottery for K-2/not in pottery will learn about either the heart or blood flow by creating a model of a pumping heart and a model of blood flow until 9:15 9:15-9:45 recess 9:30-11:00 Pottery for K-2/not in pottery will learn about either the heart or blood flow (attend station they didn’t attend) 11-12:00 recess/lunch (hamburger or PB&J) 12-2 Pottery for 5-12/not in pottery rotate through apple stations (apple volcano; apple taste testing or why apples turn brown) until 1:45 1:45-2:15 recess 2:15-3:30 make apple pie play dough 3:30-4:00 snack/recess (bus leaves at 3:55) 4:00-5:30 learn why leaves turn brown with a campus field trip and science 5:30-6 ABC exercise competition. The BHS Yearbook is back to selling buttons this year! We replaced our machine and now the buttons are bigger and better then ever before! These new buttons are 3.5 inches in diameter, with more room to see your athlete! We are selling them for $6 per button, and this year we are now offering Buddy Buttons! Buddy Buttons picture two of your favorite athletes on the same button! We are selling these for $9 per button. The Yearbook Crew will be sending home button order forms home with all fall sport athletes. Please be patient as it takes us a couple days to process your order, but we will work to get them back to you as soon as we can. Checks can be made out to BHS Publications. Buttons will not be assembled until we receive payment. Thank you!

Good afternoon. We now have a set schedule for guitar and pottery at the after school and 5th day program. Guitar will be every Monday from 4:30-5:30. Pottery schedule: 2nd and 3rd grade will be every 1st and 3rd Monday; Kinder and 1st grade will be every 2nd and 4th Monday; 4th and 5th grade will be every 1st and 3rd Tuesday; 6th-12th will be every 2nd and 4th Tuesday. Pottery will also be open during the 5th day program as follows: Kinder, 1st and 2nd are every 1st and 3rd Friday from 8-9:30 and 9:30-11; 3rd and 4th grade are every 2nd and 4th Friday from 8-9:30 and 9:30-11; 5th-12th grade will be every Friday from 12-2. Happy Friday afternoon. Our 5th day program was busy today with lots of activities, fun and even some messy moments. Loved hearing the laughter and learning. Next Friday we will be making bread and butter from scratch. I’ll share the final schedule of events early next week. At our after school program we are excited to announce the addition of learning to play guitar for grades 3 and up. Guitar will be offered every Monday from 4:30-5:30 for anyone who wants to learn or has their own guitar and wants to expand their knowledge. Bradi Watkins and Travis Ragen will be teaching the class. Pottery has been a big hit so I’m breaking down classes so everyone can enjoy it. Next week we will have pottery available for K/1 on Monday and 6-12 on Tuesday from 4:00-5:45. Please register for the 5th day on the 5th day google form. Lunch is free and available to all.
