Dear Families & Community Members,
We look forward to an incredible second semester, and I wish you all a Happy New Year!
The school safety team has been collaborating with the local Sheriff's Department, emergency personnel, and organizations throughout the community, and we have made significant gains. You will notice on this week's School Board Agenda we will discuss bringing on a School Resource Officer! February 9th is a PIR day for staff to focus on safety training and is not a school day for students.
The School Principals have collected great information to share with the community on the 4-day school week. Please watch for that information and feel free to contact us with feedback.
The district has sent out a survey to see how the radio is used within the community and if there is interest in continuing to operate it. KDGZ 98.3 is a community partnership; we want to hear from you. We created a survey to find out more about the importance of the radio to the community and to collaborate with school staff, community members, and interested investors to create a viable plan moving forward if there is interest. Please fill the survey out online or in the library. So far, we have 41 responses.
We look forward to offering another robust adult education program this winter! Let us know if you have a talent, hobby, or skill to share and are interested in teaching a class for one evening or multiple weeks. Instructors are paid well! We would also like to hear from you if there is a class you would like to see available.
